Babergh District Council voted unanimously on 20th September 2016 to 'make' the Lavenham Neighbourhood Development Plan. This followed a referendum held on September 8th 2016 which resulted in a majority of 91.25% in favour. The declaration of the results can be accessed here. The Parish Council would like to thank all those residents who voted.

All the documentation and additional information on the Plan can be found on this website or by visiting the Babergh District Council website.

Our Neighbourhood Plan has now been in place for 5 years and needs to be reviewed to make sure that it still reflects the needs of our community. This review will be taking place over the coming months. The first step was the residents' questionnaire which was completed in August 2021 followed by a questionnaire to Lavenham's businesses which closed at the end of September. Please visit the Neighbourhood Plan Revision site to follow the progress  http://www.lavenhamnp2.onesuffolk.net/.
