Carroll Reeve accepted, on behalf of Lavenham Parish, a New Public Access Defibrillator kindly donated by W A Deacon Funeral Directors on 19th December. Mr Reeve thanked the directors David and Paul Deacon for the generous gift when it was officially handed over outside Marshbeck Interiors where it is kept on an external wall of their premises. Marshbecks's were also thanked for providing the location and power supply.
This defibrillator is in addition to the one located outside the butchers and both are now fully operational.
Access to the defibrillators is by a combination lock the code for which can only be given by the ambulance service when a 999 call is made.
Defibrillators are used in conjunction with CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and it is planned that free training will be made available to everyone in the village as soon as the current restrictions are lifted.

Demonstration Video although not exactly what our new defibrilltor is like this gives a good indication of how it works.
